Learning Objectives
Real estate professionals encounter various people, personalities, situations, behind-the-scenes issues, and competing objectives of the parties. This course aims to help participants:
- Understand the basic types of negotiations, the phases of negotiations, and the skills needed for successful negotiating.
- Understand and apply the basic negotiating concepts: WATNA, BATNA, WAP, and ZOPA.
- Recognize patterns and tactics being utilized.
- Adjust your communication style to achieve optimum results with any party in the transaction.
- Effectively negotiate face-to-face, on the phone, through email, text, and live virtually.
- Lay the groundwork for a negotiation.
- Identify what information to share and what to keep to yourself.
- Understand basic bargaining techniques.
- Apply strategies for identifying mutual gain.
- Understand how to reach consensus and set the terms of agreement.
- Secure the best possible outcome for your client and protect their interests.
- Deal with difficult issues.
*PMAR does not report CE credits to the state. We will provide you with a transcript via email within 30 days that meets the Pennsylvania Real Estate Commission’s requirements. Students are responsible for maintaining their own records.
Please note, completing this two-day course is only one step in achieving your RENE Certification. You must also be a Realtor in good standing and submit an application and $159 credentialing fee to REBI. Instructions on this will be provided after successful completion of the course.

Tuition must be paid in full at the time of registration.
Refunds, minus a $25 cancellation fee will be made only when written notice is provided no less than five (5) days prior to course start date. Requests can be sent to dawn @poconorealtors .com .
Cancellations made less than five (5) days prior to course start date may receive partial credit toward a future class at the discretion of the Director. Requests should be sent to dawn@poconorealtors.com
No refunds will be issued after the start of the class. If a student is dismissed for failure to abide by any school policies, no refund will be given.
In case of a no show, the student will be charged $25.00 .
There will be a processing fee of $40.00 for returned checks.
The Minimum Number of Students needed for this class is _10 ___: If the minimum students are not met 5 days prior to cla ss the class may be cancelled.
.In the event of a no-show, the student forfeits their registration fee will be billed $25.00
