The Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR®) designation is the benchmark of excellence in buyer representation. The designation program establishes a foundation of training, skills, and resources to help real estate professionals succeed as a buyer’s representative.

  • Conveying your value to the buyer-client
  • Conducting a seamless, productive buyer counseling session
  • Guiding a buyer-client through the search-showing-selection process
  • Negotiating buyer-clients' offers
  • Bringing the transaction to a successful close
  • Providing exceptional service

This course is the main requirement for the Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR®) Designation. Successful completion of this course also fulfills the elective-course requirement to earn the Seller Representative Specialist (SRS) Designation.

Continuing Education (CE) 12 credit for this course.

When you decide to earn your ABR® designation, you gain:

 You must attend all (3) Three days to receive credit. 

***Please note, completing this (3) Three day course is only one step in achieving your ABR Designation. More information on the remainder of the process can be found here. Further instructions will be provided during and after successful completion of the course.

Additional Education: One elective class is required. If you have taken one of our At Home With Diversity or Real Estate Investing: Build Wealth Representing Investors and Becoming One Yourself, then You can check those one off your list!

5 Confirmed Transactions: These must be solely as a buyer's representative, dual agency does not count, but can include up to two leases.

Rick Harris


Rick Harris is a Principal Broker and Team Leader of the Rick Harris Real Estate Group at John L Scott in Ashland, Oregon. Rick is in the top 1% of production for his franchise, and has 30+ years of hands-on, in-the-trenches experience in residential, multi-family and commercial brokerage.

Rick is a faculty specialist for Dynamic Directions, an international real estate training and strategic facilitation firm. Rick provides a wide range of REALTOR® education—designations, certifications, continuing education and specialty classes--as well as strategic planning and leadership training for real estate associations, MLSs and brokerages nationwide.

Rick volunteers in REALTOR® and MLS leadership at the local, state and national level, and has been a long-time National Director, NAR RVP, Federal Political Coordinator, Platinum R President’s Circle and Chair of NAR’s three MLS Issues Committees. Rick was 2021 President’s Liaison for MLS and Data Management.

Tuition must be paid in full at the time of registration. 

Refunds, minus a $25 cancellation fee will be made only when written notice is provided no less than five (5) days prior to course start date. Requests can be sent to dawn@poconorealtors.com. 

Cancellations made less than five (5) days prior to course start date may receive partial credit toward a future class at the discretion of the Director. Requests should be sent to dawn@poconorealtors.com 

No refunds will be issued after the start of the class. If a student is dismissed for failure to abide by any school policies, no refund will be given. 

In case of a no show, the student will be charged $25.00. 

There will be a processing fee of $40.00 for returned checks. 

The Minimum Number of Students needed for this class is _15___: If the minimum students are not met 5 days prior to class the class may be cancelled.  

.In the event of a no-show, the student forfeits their registration fee will be billed $25.00 

No refunds will be issued after the start of the class. In the event that a student is dismissed for failure to abide by any school policies, no refund will be given.

Should the school need to cancel a class, participants will be entitled to a full refund.
